COOLE CODY won this in 2020 and was still in front last year when falling two out. He has been trained with the race in mind again and is seeking a fourth win at the track having finished ahead of Stolen Silver and Slate House when landing a Grade 3 here in March. Galahad Quest and Simply The Betts were fifth and sixth respectively 12 months ago and meet on similar terms with both racing off lower marks. Umbrigado, a winner over hurdles last month, is potentially well treated back over fences while Mister Fisher is a classy sort having won three times at Grade 2 level. Editeur Du Gite has won around here but only over 2m and he usually struggles over this far. Ga Law is interesting, however, after a very promising reappearance in a Grade 2 at Aintree while French Dynamite won over hurdles at Thurles last month and landed a Grade 3 over fences at the same track in March. Midnight River won easily at Stratford following a break and Il Ridoto has had wind surgery since last season.
