Verdict

Most of these are better known as chasers nowadays including Jatiluwih, though David Maxwell’s mount did win over the smaller obstacles here in 2019. Brazos placed in a Grade 3 over hurdles in Ireland and Indefatigable has Grade 2 and Listed victories on her CV. Flight Deck was second off this mark at Carlisle and Annual Invictus won on the Old course here last month when returning to hurdles. SHANTOU EXPRESS was in excellent form over timber in the first half of the year. Today’s going will suit and connections have wisely shelved chasing plans for the time being. Nicky Henderson holds a strong hand with Dusart and Captain Morgs but both are likely to attract market support and may not offer much value in an open-looking finale.
