Verdict

Spiritofthegames has often given the impression he’d be suited by a trip of this nature but he will have his stamina tested if last year’s easy winner Commodore adopts his usual front-running tactics – fitness is rarely an issue for one from his yard. Broken Quest also tries a new trip but CAPTAIN CATTISTOCK won over course and distance in April and was a promising third over 3m1f here in October, which should have blown away any cobwebs. Undersupervision is held on the form book but Eva's Oskar has claims on a recent second here and Switch Hitter has yet to finish out of the frame over fences. Nassalam has never raced beyond 2m4f.
