Verdict

Singlefarmpayment is 4lb better off than when three lengths behind COGRY over track and trip last month but the former has spurned a number of similar opportunities since last successful whereas supporters are almost guaranteed to get a run for their money from the top weight, who is bidding for a fifth course victory and will be in the firing-line from the outset again. Doing Fine has also won around here and was first past the post in a Sandown handicap last month that was voided but Kingswell Theatre seems best on the cross-country course nowadays. Another Venture was only beaten half-a-length on his reappearance at Chepstow but has been raised 3lb. Commodore is better than he’s shown so far this term but needs some help from the handicapper.
