took keen hold, tracked leaders, went 2nd 3f out, switched right last bend, soon hung right, stayed on, just held
last to break, raced in last, went 3rd over 2f out, soon switched right, no extra inside final furlong
made all, shaken up over 5f out, ridden over 1f out, held on
chased winner until 3f out, weakened over 1f out
Sixties Secret is hard to fancy but Dubawi Meeznah’s dam won over 1m6f and she’s worth a second glance. Lady Baker stayed on at the one-pace after losing the lead over 1m4f at Newbury and should last home but a chance is taken on MAYBE TODAY. The latter takes a big step up in trip having made a winning start over 1m2f at Windsor but Simon Crisford’s filly only found top gear in the last half-furlong and this extra distance shouldn’t be a problem on that evidence.
Maybe Today 16-1 (8-11) Went right start, mid-division, ridden over 1f out, good headway and stayed on inside final furlong, led near finish, won at Windsor 1m 2f fll stks (5) gf in Aug beating Wohileh (8-11) by nk, 13 ran.
Dubawi Meeznah (IRE) Dubawi filly out of Meeznah.
Lady Baker (USA) 8-1 (9-0) Led, ridden and headed over 2f out, every chance entering final furlong, kept on to regain 2nd inside final furlong, 2nd of 7, 2 3/4l behind Sextant (9-5) at Newbury 1m 4f mdn stks (3) gd in Aug.
Sixties Secret 66-1 (10-5) Mainly tracked leader, challenged after 3 out, led turning into straight, headed when fell next, at Newton Abbot 2m 1f (3) gd in Aug.
