Varsovian has won four of his last seven starts - all on Polytrack. He's climbing the weights and this is the highest class he's run in so he may have to give best to SPELLMAKER. Tony Newcombe's charge comfortably landed a minor handicap at Lingfield in January and didn't get the best of runs when making his debut over this course and distance a few days later. Foie Gras was considered a specialist at Kempton but he's taken well to the Tapeta at Wolverhampton and was only just beaten on his only start here so he must be on the shortlist. Glastonberry won a minor handicap at Lingfield but couldn't handle the step-up to this class and a 3lb rise at Kempton.
