In depth

Verdict

WATERSMEET was beaten a short-head at Lingfield on his belated debut last February and finished runner-up in his next two starts on Polytrack. He has a victory at Haydock to his credit and Mark Johnston should have him ready for this. The Third Man made a successful debut at Lingfield in December 2013 but hasn't had much racing subsequently. He should be winning again soon while Glasgow Central makes a quick reappearance after being headed close home over 1m4f at Wolverhampton on Saturday. Dandarrell has taken to this track and only just failed to hold the late thrust of Party Royal a couple of weeks ago. Qasser scored over hurdles on heavy ground in November while Minstrel Lad is still 11lb higher than his only Polytrack victory.
