A couple of these made winning handicap debuts including Shining Armor. But he was partnered by a 5lb claimer when making all to win over 7f at Yarmouth last month and has also been raised 8lb, so preference goes to HANAKOTOBA. The latter squeezed her way between rivals to win by a short-head over today’s trip at Kempton and there looks plenty more to come from Stuart Williams’ filly on that evidence. Kingi Compton has been thereabouts over the minimum trip recently without success and the less exposed Awarded was placed over 5f here on her handicap debut while Robeam and Akela Moon represent Richard Fahey with the former preferred over today’s distance.
