Nat Love never looked like catching the winner when runner-up here on his debut but is still preferred to newcomer Second Love, who wears the same colours for a different trainer. Chromium may finish closer over this extra furlong while Fair Warning and Great Aspirations can only improve having failed to figure on their respective debuts but ABOVE will not need to be anything special to make a winning start in this. Archie Watson’s two-year-olds have a tremendous strike rate on the all-weather tracks this year and his E150,000 purchase could well add to the tally.
