        Verdict

        Richard Hannon looks to have found a good opportunity for STATE SECRETARY. The latter separated a couple of subsequent winners when second at Kempton in September and looks the one to beat on that form. Buxted Too also placed at Kempton in November but Eleven Eleven has failed to threaten despite finishing third at Southwell in both outings so far. Muhalhel showed little on his debut but has undergone wind surgery since and can only improve with a tongue-tie also applied.
