Verdict

ALF GUINEAS (NAP) put a poor run in soft ground behind her and won a maiden race at Wolverhampton in November. The Gosden filly is less exposed than the likes of more recent winners Magic City and Mr Red Clubs with the latter due to run at Wolverhampton yesterday. Hairdryer has looked in the handicapper's grip since winning here last year but Ryan Moore’s presence on Inniscastle Lad takes the eye. James Tate sent out last year’s winner and Cape Peninsular’s second to Entsar, now rated 95, in September looks better in hindsight.
