Verdict

Croeso Cymraeg could only manage third over track and trip when bidding for a four-timer but is not out of this. Champagne Marengo went close over today’s distance at Redcar before winning over 2m at Catterick and can figure again while Murhib has been winning over shorter trips this year and is preferred to Shovel It On, who won a seller at Wolverhampton recently. SPARGROVE was still beaten a long way when third over 1m6f at Sandown but that was in soft going and Hughie Morrison’s unexposed colt gets a speculative vote on this faster surface with Oisin Murphy taking over the reins.
