      Verdict

      Percy Alexander beat the re-opposing Mr Fox by only a neck at Wolverhampton and that pair are hard to separate with the latter only slightly better off. SPIRIT OF ANGEL stepped up to 1m2f for his handicap debut and was placed at Lingfield behind subsequent winner Lord Lamington, due to run earlier on the card. Marcus Tregoning’s charge may prove good enough on that form. Tribune, Crimean Queen and Dusty Damsel all go handicapping for the first time with the latter preferred after finishing a close-up third here last month.
