      Verdict

      WINNING STORY returned to winning ways when stepped up to today’s trip at Newcastle in December. He should go close again on these terms though needs to reverse earlier running over 1m6f with Watersmeet. The latter has won again over 1m4f at Lingfield when beating Calling Out with subsequent winner Retrieve further behind. Pique Sous won the Alexander Stakes at Ascot back in 2014 under Ryan Moore and the latter is back on board for this. Willie Mullins’ charge had a recent pipe-opener over too short a trip at Dundalk but has something to find with the selection on these terms.
