SHARPS CHOICE showed promise in bumpers and made a very encouraging start over timber at Thurles when giving supporters of the long odds-on Capital Force a fright though he never looked quite like getting there. He'll have come on a bundle for the experience and with the longer trip in his favour he should go one better. Gigginstown had half-a-dozen engaged at the early stage but the only one carrying their colours here is Clara Sorrento. Noel Meade's grey has plenty of potential though will need to jump better than he did at Naas last month. Without Limites looked a superb prospect when completing a double in bumpers and made a promising start over timber at Gowran in November but failed to build on that when tackling this trip on heavy ground at Limerick and is penalised here. Veneziano Springs was a 33/1 chance when coming here for a maiden over the trip on heavy going a month ago but belied his odds with an excellent run behind two much stronger fancied rivals. Normal progress should see him in the frame again.
