Another trappy looking contest and Parchment just gets the verdict ahead of McQueen and Rigat. The ground will be a major factor with the selection but if it remains on the fast side of good he does have strong claims. There were problems with the trip on his last two runs but his victory over this distance on good to firm ground at Beverley stands out as excellent form. If he can repeat that effort he will be hard to beat. McQueen returned to winning ways here last time and did it in great style, holding on well to beat H'a Penny Beacon. He was well clear over two furlongs out so the drop in trip should not be a problem. Rigat is proving hard to win with but is a very well handicapped horse. He is trying this trip for the first time but did stay on well over ten furlongs last time out and he could run into a place at a decent price. The pick of the others could be Miss Sure Bond, but Parchment has a great chance on his best form and he gets the nod.
