Flying Bantam cost his supporters dearly last time but is given a chance to atone and gets the verdict ahead of Flash Ram and Compton Plume. Richard Fahey's gelding was just pipped by the unexposed Khalidia at Doncaster last time, and would probably have won if he hadn't hung away from the rail. His previous form is also rock solid and looks the one to be on. Compton Plume has a similar level of form having chased home Hartshead at Redcar last time and looks set for another placing. Flash Ram is another who has had plenty of chances. He didn't quite get home over seven furlongs last time and will no doubt appreciate this drop back in distance. The dark horse in the race could be the selection's stable-mate Harrison's Flyer, who displayed some promise in one outing last season, but Flying Bantam has experience on his side and is taken to oblige.
