This is a good opportunity for Colonial Girl to finally lose her maiden tag, White Bear and Alabama Twist appear to be the only dangers. Tim Easterby's filly went close on a couple of occasions as a juvenile and has performed with credit again this campaign. She seems to prefer fast ground so has conditions in her favour this afternoon and looks the best option. Alabama Twist finished close behind the smart Vanadium last month, but hasn't fulfilled that promise since. On a line through Golden Asha he comes out just about the same horse as Colonial Girl, but may just prefer softer ground. White Bear has already beaten Alabama Twist and is the best in here on official ratings. He drops back to his favoured distance and appears the main threat to the selection. The rest make very little appeal and so in what is basically a three horse war, Colonial Girl gets the vote.
