THREE STRINGS has won for Tom Eaves in the past and the partnership look a fair option to side with in this modest handicap. Mister Fizzbomb has a bit to find with the selection from an earlier encounter at Musselburgh but does hold each-way claims in this company, while Stravita and Bollin Freddie come here in good heart and are also worth considering for a place. Bollin Freddie acts well on an undulating surface and, having shown grim determination to win a Ladies race at Beverley in September; he has a proven heart for a battle. However, this is (effectively) a step up in class for him and he has a bit to find on the body of evidence. Stravita won a very modest claimer at Leicester earlier in the month and also faces a tougher assignment this afternoon. She is not really noted for consistency, so a cautious approach is advised in wading in on this follow up bid. Mister Fizzbomb is a course and distance winner and, as Catterick favours the handy and nippy type, he should again make a bold bid from the front. However, he may simply set things up for Three Strings if this goes to form and, with all things considered, the Peter Niven-trained five-year-old is taken to come out on top again today.
