In depth

Formwatch

Kosevo (IRE) Won his last turf start, a Yarmouth handicap in September off a mark of 38. Has not been in great form this winter and looks to face a stiff task here.

Ever Revie (IRE) Both wins have come on a soft surface but seems an inconsistent type and has a bit to find on official ratings.

Mai Tai (IRE) Went down by just a short head in a Carlisle handicap last July but has shown very little since then, and hard to see her featuring in the finish here.

Apache Point (IRE) Had just one run for Henry Cecil last year, well behind former stablemate Shibboleth in a Newmarket maiden. Has obviously had his problems since then but would not have to be anything special to win this. Hard to assess, though.

Bergen (IRE) Comes out best on official ratings and is thrown in on old form, but has failed to show much sparkle for around two years now.

Magic Mill (IRE) Lightly-raced last year, but started with a fair effort in a Hamilton handicap and a reproduction of that form would make him hard to beat at these weights.

Peng (IRE) Very little form to speak of. Has had plenty of chances and impossible to fancy.

San Michel (IRE) Has not won a race in this country despite plenty of tries, and pulled up over hurdles last month.

Toshiba Times Only rated 28 and no chance at these weights.

Desilu Off the track since September '99, when she showed little in two juvenile starts. Formerly with Bill Haigh.

Patsy Culsyth Goes particularly well fresh and won a similar race at Newcastle first time out last season. Has a little bit to find at the weights but likely to put up a bold show here.

Tancred Arms Her only win came over 5f here back in '99. Inconsistent sort but would have a chance if putting her best foot forward, and stable had a winner at Wolverhampton on Tuesday.
