Mozakhraf sprang a bit of a surprise when scoring at Hamilton six days ago but Kevin Ryan's gelding is not the most reliable and so we will side with the consistent Ryedane ahead of Charles Parnell. The selection represents a stable in form and having won off a mark of 78 before, today's mark of 58 makes him looks very attractively handicapped. He is equally effective over both five and six furlongs but this easy six looks sure to suit and given that he has won twice at Catterick before, he looks sure to run his race today. Strike Force won well last time out swooping late on but this is a tougher contest, so of more interest may be Charles Parnell who is consistent and has place claims at least. Whozart has claims from his nice low racing weight, especially now returned to six furlongs. Markestino would have a decent chance if putting in one of his better runs, however he is very inconsistent so couldn't be put forward with any conviction. Mozakhraf would be a danger if reproducing his effort of six days ago and he must be respected, however Ryedane is taken to land these moderate spoils.
