      Verdict

Not the strongest of opening contests but it looks a good opportunity for A Double Ewe Bee to get her head in front again, with Bayside and Arctic Cove heading the shortlist. The selection has looked at her best on testing ground and with conditions to suit today, she must have very solid claims. Her latest second at Leicester was a decent enough effort, and given a decent break to overcome those efforts, she can take this moderate contest. The biggest danger could be Keith Reveley's Bayside who showed some smart bumper from two years ago but has struggled to make an impression over hurdles so far. However, whilst this is a drop in class today, he has looked more comfortable on better ground and so for that reason he is passed over. As is Arctic Cove, who's fourth last time out would give him claims in this contest, however he has looked more of a stayer so this substantial drop in trip doesn't look ideal. Gappersonneldotcom appears to be moderate at best but must have place claims at least off his low weight and with his jockey claiming three, whilst Karyon is a course and distance winner so must be respected. This shouldn't take that much winning, so we will return to A Double Ewe Bee to land the spoils.
