The opener can go the way of Blu Manruna at the expense of Moon Empress and Barton Belle. The selection has been in decent form recently finishing second to Reaching Out here over ten furlongs on his penultimate start and was not discredited when finishing fourth over the same trip last time out. This step up in trip though could prove important as he has looked a little one paced in the closing stages. This extra two furlongs could make a difference and therefore is a horse to stay on the right side of. Moon Empress is unexposed and is still improving with experience. His latest run when third of twelve over two furlongs shorter was a personal best and if able to improve once again over this longer trip he is a threat to the selection. Barton Belle ran well enough on his debut on the flat to suggest he will win more races in the future.He is a winner twice over jumps from four outings and has shown enough pace to warrant respect here. But for the winner we return to Blu Manruna.
