FASLIYANNE is 9lbs better off with Jethro Bodine for a length-and-a-half beating by that rival at Redcar last time out and can reverse placings today, while Chimbonda is much respected. Fasliyanne has been holding her form well throughout 2009 and seems to act on sound or fast ground on turf. She recorded her only win over course and distance at the beginning of the month and showed enough in defeat last time to suggest that she can come good again. Jethro Bodine has been less consistent but was ready to do the job last time and while he looks likely to be competitive this is a much tougher task. Chimbonda remains a maiden after 18 starts but keeps running the odd decent race in defeat and a 4lb drop for his latest outing means he continues to drop to career low marks. Arguably, he is unproven on the ground but market confidence would raise an eyebrow or two. Pedregal was doing all his best work at the business end as you might expect when dropped back from a mile to this trip behind Jethro Bodine last time. He looks like having a race in him, though this trip does look a bit short. Gore Hill and Compton Ford would be of more interest if their yards were in better shape and Fasliyanne is the one for us.
