In depth

Verdict

Mynd gained a deserved victory at Redcar last time and looks set to follow up today, Legal Set and Russian Cafe may prove to be the main rivals. Richard Whitaker's went close to winning on numerous occasions throughout the winter, and a combination of a drop in ratings and heavy ground secured him a smooth success earlier this month. Anymore rain will help his cause today and he looks set to go close off his current mark. Legal Set has had a very busy campaign on the all-weather and could never get in a blow behind Tom Tun last Saturday. He will appreciate this less taxing opposition and he could go close at a decent price. Russian Cafe showed promise in two maidens last year and has more scope for improvement than most of these, he should be involved in the finish. Dunn Deal and Flying Tackle are two others worthy of a mention, but Mynd is expected to give weight and a beating to his rivals today.
