Verdict

Manwell can’t do much more in search of a first win over fences but the handicapper refuses to cut him any slack. Gettysburg Address returns from an absence and is making his chasing bow under top weight but Richard Newland’s runners rarely turn up at the track under-cooked and he’ll know what’s required. Marley Firth was well backed at Newcastle at the start of the month but fell at the second and Tetraites Style was a faller on his reappearance. EUREU DU BOULAY is only four and had excuses last time at Southwell. This longer trip is in his favour and it’s too soon to write him off.
