        Verdict

        CAPAL DUBH ALAINN is 4lb better off with Coronado's Gold, having beaten him here last time, and he can confirm those placings here with Three Strings and Blue Jet other possibles. The selection drops back slightly in trip, but that should make little difference, and he is in decent nick so we'll take him to follow up. Coronado's Gold will find it tough at the weights and in any case he much prefers fast ground to be at his best, so we'll oppose. Three Strings is worth a try at this trip but has not yet gone beyond 1m 4f. Pedigree suggests he might not have the stamina, though the ground fine for him. Richard Whitaker's Blue Jet won over this trip at Haydock last month but is not quite at home when there is cut underfoot and looks opposable, while Eijaaz is a doubtful stayer and wants quicker ground. Capal Dubh Alainn is the one for us.
