A wide open contest rounds off the card and as usual at this track the draw will be all important and with this in mind the principals look to be Firebird Rising, Cut Ridge,Tokewanna and Bint Royal and we will take a chance on the last named. The selection is well drawn and is well weighted on his best form, and he looks sure to get the fast pace he needs to be seen to best effect. Firebird Rising rates the main danger on his latest third behind Megabond but that was in a claimer and this looks tougher, so for that reason he is opposed. Cut Ridge finished in mid-division behind Mon Secret last time and plenty of runners behind have won since so he could go well at a price. Tokewanna was a fair fourth behind Penwell Hill last time and is another with place claims but consistency is not his strong point. Of the remainder Mickledor is from a shrewd yard and has dropped to a handy mark but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum, for the winner we return to Bint Royal.
