Circassian was well-backed and landed the spoils at Yarmouth on Tuesday and he may be capable of defying a penalty and seeing off the main dangers Greenwich Meantime and Colway Ritz. This gelding from the Sir Mark Prescott yard was backed as though defeat was out of the question on Tuesday when beating Kind Emperor. He won well that day and remains unexposed and the suspicion is that he is still one step ahead of the handicapper. Greenwich Meantime had no luck in running behind Trilemma last time and that run is best ignored. He would certainly have claims on the pick of his form but he is inconsistent and for that reason we will pass him over on this occasion. Colway Ritz is on a handy mark at present and is another to consider, while Financial Future is surely capable of better than what he has shown of late. However, Circassian is going the right way and is difficult to oppose and as such he is taken to score.
