In depth

Verdict

Mon Beau Visage is in cracking form having won two of his last three and he's also run well on soft ground here in the past. Captain Dion looks a soft-ground specialist and though dropped back to 6f at Pontefract last time he battled back when headed and has no problems with this trip. Shouranour's three victories have all been at a mile while Toboggan's Fire appears to need a stiffer track over this trip. Sunnua has won over the trip here and at Chester so obviously likes a sharp track but this tricky handicap can go to CHAPLIN BAY. Ruth Carr's charge needs holding up and should get the strong pace he needs so hopefully the gaps will open and he's on the same mark as when scoring at Sandown in August.
