Verdict

Jim Bolger has a good record in this and Clongowes made a bright start over a mile at Gowran last week. He'll have come on a bundle for the experience and should be thereabouts. Aidan O'Brien had no less than eight engaged at the early stage and relies on THE STATESMAN and the newcomer Cliffs Of Moher. The latter is a son of Galileo out of a two-year-old winner but it's the former, who looked in need of the run at Limerick last week, who should improve enough to get on the scoresheet. Spanish Tenor made an encouraging debut at Roscommon and was well supported at the Curragh last month but found 6f just too short and couldn't quite get to Khukri. Coviglia cost 105,000gns and is a half-brother to a juvenile winner so he's one to note in the market.
