A tough handicap and only a tentative vote is given to the in-form Field Spark, who deserves a change of fortune and is selected ahead of Rock Lobster and Sir Night. It will also be interesting to note if any support comes for Crathorne, who is capable on his day but now appears to be in need of a stronger test of stamina. Sir Night came good at Beverley last month and is obviously in good heart. Still, he had previously been hard to win with and is not certain to be in the same frame of mind today. Rock Lobster is set for a small rise in the weights after a couple of solid performances in defeat. However, he looks vulnerable at the trip and now has something to prove. Therefore, it can pay to give Field Spark another chance, as he has done very little wrong since he reverted to turf. A mile and a half ideally suits Jeremy Glover's charge and, with nothing to fear from the going description, Field Spark has plenty in his favour today.
