Alan Swinbank has won two of the three renewals of this contest and CHICKINI looks capable of keeping the good run going. Newcomers Landenstown Rose and Baba O'curragh look her most interesting opponents. The fact that she has been absent for such a long time since making her debut is a minor concern as she's presumably had some problems but she displayed a good attitude and turn of foot when winning a fair race at Kelso and her pilot is well worth his claim. Baba O'curragh hails from a yard that doesn't send out many winners in this sphere but their runners merit respect when the market speaks positively and this filly is related to a winner of a bumper so she's worth noting. Similar remarks apply to Landenstown Rose although Donald McCain has a marginally better strike rate than Ferdy Murphy in bumpers whilst those with experience that are worth considering include Classical Mist and Hannah Jacques with the latter probably of more interest although she may need a stiffer test to be seen at her best. As ever, the market will be useful but Chickini holds obvious claims.
