In depth

Verdict

This looks competitive and wide open but we can narrow the leading fancies down to Rosie's Result, Henry Hall and Whinhill House with the tentitive vote going to the last named. Whinhill House has been well place by his trainer to win three times this spring. He has not been thumped by the handicapper either as his winning sequence started off at a mark of fifty four on the all weather and he was winning off only a two pound higher mark last time out when scoring at Musselburg. The four pound further hike looks fair and with the gelding in such fine fettel at present he is one horse to stay on the right side of. Rosie's Result has not been seen since August of last year when winning at Musselburgh on a fast surface and it may be the case that he will come on for the outing. He looks a horse that gets better with races and has never won first time out so is to be treated with caution. Henry Hall on the other hand has improved with each outing this season and ran with credit when fourth of fifteen at Beverley last time out so is respected here. But for the winner we return to Whinhill House.
