JOHANNES is no certainty to confirm the form of his reappearance with Wyatt Earp at the revised weights but we'll take him to do so whilst Novellen Lad is also in the picture. The selection has been a frustrating horse to follow since a successful juvenile campaign which saw him rated as high as 104. He won only once at two but took another nineteen starts to double his career tally when scoring from a perch of just 73. He's 4lbs higher and 3lbs worse off for three quarters of a length with Wyatt Earp but may be able to continue his revival. Novellen Lad appears to be in the handicapper's grip but he drops back in trip which may assist as he has plenty of pace and he has to be feared. Obe Gold gets in under the ceiling for this race following a 1lb drop for a performance that can be ignored but may still need a little more help. Kashimin has a couple of lengths to make up with Wyatt Earp and Johannes on their running here in May but should have more to offer given that he settled much better than on many occasions in the past. Splash The Cash ran out a ready winner over seven and has the speed to cope with the drop in trip which all goes to make this a really competitive heat but Johannes is certainly well enough handicapped if his new connections can keep him on the right track.
