        Verdict

        Derrochadora was beaten a fair way on her debut in a four-runner race and may need more time as might Medicoe, who was very green at Ripon a couple of weeks ago where Red Cobra was just in front. Medicoe has an entry in a novices' event on Friday so may be thought capable of much better. Runner-up that day at Ripon was DEEPEST BLUE, who has since gone on to occupy the same spot at Windsor and he'll take some beating in this company as Old Man Clegg's second at York was in a seller. Richard Fahey introduces a very well-connected newcomer in the filly Strange Magic, a half-sister to several winners and out of a mare who won over this trip as a two-year-old.
