King Of The Romans was unfancied on his debut at Leopardstown and ran accordingly behind stablemate Theatre. No doubt he'll have come on in leaps and bounds but DESIDERATA may have his measure. He made a promising start behind a couple of decent performers at Navan and didn't quite last home over 7f on very testing ground at Down Royal where he made most until a furlong out. Monakova wasn't beaten far on heavy ground at Cork and will improve while Dermot Weld's newcomer Muaanid is one to keep an eye on with his stable going well.
