Tony Carroll's LORDSHIP ran out the easy winner of a soft ground handicap over this trip at Ayr last week and has an obvious chance to defy the penalty for that success which he is taken to do with the main dangers rated as Grissom and Conry. The Patrick Morris-trained gelding finished half-a-length in front of Grissom over course and distance last week but is now 6lbs worse in so Alan Berry's gelding may be able to reverse that form. Alan Swinbank's Kashimin ran well when chasing home Gassin at Wolverhampton last month and has every chance if able to reproduce a similar level of form back on turf, while Violent Velocity probably wants faster ground to be seen at his best. The David Evans-trained Kingswinford relishes cut in the ground and has solid claims off his current mark but it is hard to get away from Lordship following his win at Ayr last week and he can score again.
