Verdict

Chaplin Bay won a Class 6 sprint at Hamilton by four lengths but was beaten off a higher mark last time and is upped a further 2lb. Manatee Bay was a losing favourite here last week having gone close at Carlisle before that but Foreign Diplomat could go well off his current mark. Compton Park has not shown any benefit so far for a tumble down the weights and is having his first start since September so it could pay to stick with BEST TRIP (NAP). The latter won at Doncaster last month and with an apprentice’s allowance negating a 4lb rise, Majorie Fife’s charge can go in again.
