Auvergne is taken to get the better of Sweet Emily and Glad Big in another wide open contest. The selection is a half-brother to the smart sprinter Millstream and he showed plenty of promise on his debut when third behind Stage School over today's course and distance. If he improves for that run then he will take the world of beating. Sweet Emily shaped with a little promise on her debut and this filly from the David Loder may be capable of better that she showed that day. However, she will have to improve to get the better of our selection and she is opposed on this occasion. Glad Big was tried at a longer trip last time when he showed promise behind Sunset Strip, so it seems strange that he has been dropped back to 7f today. Dispol Isle is a fair sort but looks more exposed than most of these and we will stick with Mark Johnston's Auvergne as our idea of the winner.
