Mandarin Spirit, No Grouse and Zhitomir look to be the leading players here with the vote going to Zhitomir. The selection is a course and distance winner who has been knocking on the door of late and he was a good second last time behind Louisiade at Wolverhampton. He has conditions to suit here and is taken to score. Mandarin Spirit will be suited by the step-up in trip after missing the break at Lingfield when he was staying-on at the finish when fourth behind Presto Shinko. No Grouse looks well-handicapped on his best form and he won well last time when beating Roman Quintet at Southwell. He comes from the off the pace so will need things to drop right but if he gets some luck in running then he is entitled to go close. Fair Shake was disappointing last time but would have claims on his previous winning effort. However, Zhitomir is in good form and gets the vote.
