It's a long time since Brigadoon won though he's the only one of these to score over the course and distance and he's dropped markedly in the weights. The three-year-old Gold Merlion looked a smart prospect in two juvenile starts but has been beaten a long way in both runs this season so CHANT (NAP) looks the one to be on. Ann Duffield's charge made all under a big weight at Pontefract last weekend and can race from the same mark here. Comedy King has been in poor form and hasn't won since 2014 while The Kid landed a 1m6f seller here in June.

The Kid 6-1 (9-2) Chased leading trio, pushed along over 2f out, edged left inside final 2f, kept on same pace final furlong, 4th of 7, 2 1/2l behind Brittleton (9-4) at Doncaster 1m 7f hcp (4) gf in Jul.
Brigadoon 16-1 (11-11) Tracked leader, led after 5th, headed 2 out, soon ridden and weakened, tailed off when pulled up before last, at Stratford 2m 3f hcp (4) gd in Jul.
