    Verdict

Hard to exclude many of these with any confidence but a chance is taken on MAID OF HOUXTY on just her third chase start. Not disgraced on fencing debut, she stepped forward second time up when only beaten a length at Kelso in November and looks the sort to progress again. Tom Creen is an obvious contender after posting a winning debut for Sam England at Sedgefield in November and he now steps up half-a-mile in trip. A winning pointer over 3m, he should not be inconvenienced but has been hit with a hefty 8lb rise for that victory. Recent Sedgefield scorer Skyhill is only up 3lb for his success and should give another good account along with Faitque De L'Isle.
