Verdict
Legendary Day, a dual Flat winner for Hughie Morrison, made a winning debut over timber in November, outpointing the more experienced Happywifehappylife. That was a promising first run and he should improve again for the outing. Whitehaven, also a former Morrison inmate, is an interesting recruit to hurdling for Donald McCain, especially in receipt of 7lb from the penalised pair. However, the choice is MATCHLESS, also a winner on the level. Though a little disappointing on handicap debut three days ago at Doncaster, his previous run when second to Rare Edition now reads strongly after the latter ran away with a hot novice hurdle at Kempton on Boxing Day.
