Sublime Talent represents last year's successful stable but was possibly flattered by his latest second at Newton Abbot and doesn't win very often nowadays. Kitchapoly is hard to catch right while Vinnie The Fish will probably find at least one too good again. CLARAGH NATIVE was disappointing last month at Bangor but an earlier second at Aintree is the best form on offer in this and he should go close if back on song. Endeavor was second over hurdles here last month and King's Chorister likewise on Saturday, though is 6lb out of the handicap in this.
Kitchapoly (FR) 7-2 (11-5) Chased leaders, not fluent 5th, challenged after 4 out, led before next, 3 lengths clear last, headed towards finish, 3rd of 7, 1/2l behind Formal Bid (11-9) at Market Rasen 2m 1f hcp (4) gd in Jul.
Claragh Native (IRE) 10-1 (11-8) Held up towards rear, headway on outside 5th, ridden and no extra 2 out, 8th of 9, 34 3/4l behind Jack The Gent (10-8) at Bangor 2m 1f hcp (4) gd in Jul.
Sublime Talent (IRE) 11-1 (10-13) Held up in touch, lost place 7th, outpaced after 4 out, rallied after next, left 2nd when hampered 2 out, kept on, not reach winner, 2nd of 6, 2 1/2l behind Easily Pleased (11-8) at Newton Abbot 2m hcp (3) gs in Aug.
Vinnie The Fish (IRE) 6-1 (10-4) Chased leaders, took keen hold, closed before 7th, challenged 4 out until after last, no impression on winner home turn, closing on 2nd towards finish, 3rd of 6, 7 1/4l behind Cruchain (10-3) at Cartmel 2m 1f hcp (3) gs in Jul.
Endeavor 15-2 (11-6) Held up in touch in mid-division, headway from 5th, went 2nd after 2 out, bumped about when rival tried to force way through gap from 150 yards out until close home, stayed on, just held by winner, 2nd of 10, 1/2l behind Ardesia (10-0) at Cartmel 2m 1f hcp (5) gs in Jul.
