In depth

Verdict

James Moffatt's love affair with his local track is amply demonstrated by the handler fielding a quartet of contenders. Mondlicht, Boruma and Smart Ruler are useful handicappers at this level but the presence of Brian Hughes on Idder suggests the recent Carlisle winner is the stable preferred. However, he remains unproven over this trip and a chance is taken with GRAND ENTERPRISE. He has only a single career win to his name but has compiled a consistent sequence this year and there are no stamina issues surrounding the Hogarth inmate as confirmed by a good effort last time over this trip when a close third at Hexham. Course and distance winner Bourne could also get involved.
