In depth

Verdict

Nobel gets the nod over Michaels Dream and Fine By Me, while North Landing is one to note in the betting. The last named is back over a more appropriate trip today and, with the ground in his favour, he rates as good value to make the frame at the likely odds. Fine By Me showed a vastly improved level of form last time out and has a sound chance at the weights. His previous Irish from was nothing to write home about though and it may be dangerous to just assume he is capable of following up. Michaels Dream is obviously in good hear after winning at Market Rasen 10 days ago. He is in good heart but faces a stiff test under his 7lb penalty. Therefore, we switch attention to Nobel, who has a touch more scope, will handles the ground and can be expected to be given a very positive ride from Rose Davidson, who knows him very well
