Peter's Imp gets the call here ahead of Dinofelis and Pink Harbour. The selection is just that by virtue of the fact that he is the sole course winner in the line-up, that success having come in a similar event off a two-pound lower mark in last August. Much as he is probably not ideally suited by soft going, he should still play his part in this modest race. Dinofelis comes into the reckoning by virtue of the fact that he won a Ludlow seller off 77 last October and now races off 75. Pink Harbour also has to be considered because, despite being a bit in and out formwise, his second at Bangor in a similar event in April came from today's mark. Of the others, Zadok The Priest was second in a novice event here in May but has no form with give in the going, and much as Tiger Talk is a light of the horse that won from an 11-pound higher mark in 2002, he cannot be ruled out at this lowly level. Once again, though, the vote goes to Peter's Imp.
