Verdict

The veterans look ripe for taking by the younger brigade, although KNOW THE RULES is no spring chicken at the age of nine. He makes plenty of appeal for Ben Haslam and JP McManus though as he's been a different proposition since having his attentions turned to the pointing arena, racking up eight wins and four seconds from 18 starts. A winner the last twice, most recently just 15 days ago, he's taken to transfer that winning form back under Rules. Sposalizio is only seven, having begun life under the tutelage of Sir Michael Stoute on the level, and although a beaten favourite between the flags last time, his overall profile is pretty solid and a good account is expected. Toreador, formerly with Nigel Twiston-Davies, is steadily getting his act together and could be prominent along with the more exposed Tweedys Choice.
