Atticus Boy is of interest on his chase debut and Alroyal not out of this by any means but Chrysander and Orpen Wide appeal as the likeliest winners with the Evan Williams trained runner preferred. The selection has a couple of pounds to find with the tough as teak Orpen Wide but the manner of his latest success suggests that he won't have a problem bridging that gap. That was his chase debut and he ran out a ready winner from a decent yardstick in City Affair and should be able to go on from there. Orpen Wide has more experience to his name and has also won at this track. He has faced some stiff tasks but has rarely let his connections down and he never seems to bottom out. He should be in the firing line and few would begrudge him victory but he may have to settle for second today. Alroyal has run well fresh in the past and could go well but will need to be at his very best whilst this company may prove too exacting for Atticus Boy as he jumps the larger obstacles in public for the first time although he doesn't have too much to find on the pick of his hurdling form. An interesting little race which can go the way of Chrysander.
